There are few things in this world that are more disheartening than walking into a beautiful home that someone has clearly spent great time, effort and expense in decorating, only to see an ugly “black box” audio system and speakers sitting in a corner somewhere, ruining the scenery.

Most people typically walk into high-end shops that purport to give “sound advice” and then give the salesman an idea of their budget. Next, the salesman will make a great pitch for some “super-system” they have, convincing the buyer that this is the best system money can buy.

Problem is, that while it may be the best system that particular retailer sells, it is never “the best money can buy” and is in all likelihood the same system they just sold to the last ten suckers who wanted “the best”. Even worse, it is in all likelihood the wrong system for that customer.

You see, high-end audio is not a one-size-fits-all affair; the higher the level, the more intricate the nuances become. Here at Magnum Opus Audio, we truly want to put together for our customers not only the best system at any price-point, but beautiful systems that one wants to display proudly, just like any other object d’art.

The gift of music is one of life's most wonderful pleasures, but we all listen to different types of music in different types of environments with different decors. Home theater systems are wonderful, but they are for watching movies, not listening to music. The purpose of a high-end audio system is to bring the original musical event into the listening room and make it sound as "live" as possible, to have Sinatra right there in the room with you.
